The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was developed to help men, women, and adolescents learn how to show up, be seen, and live braver lives.
The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing a courage practice that transforms the way we live, love, parent, and lead. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings and is suitable for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders.
I’ve been intrigued and excited about Brené Browns’ work since I first saw her TED talk on Vulnerability (see below) in 2010. Since then, I’ve read all of her books, and participated in her online courses. In December 2013, I traveled to San Antonio to participate in the world-first training course for The Daring Way™ and in April 2014, I became the first Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator in Australia. You can read more here in my interview.
I utilize Brené Brown’s work in my psychotherapy and counselling, and integrate The Daring Way™methodology into my work with trauma, depression, anxiety eating disorders, and addictions of all kinds.
